Luo DAN, China : on the road

07 April 2009 - 04 June 2009

II 1/10
Luo Dan throws us into a floating China, dangling, uncertain, far from the demonstrations of force of the arrogant towers of the big cities or the Olympic Games. He summons us to an unreal country, more resigned than sad, which perhaps resembles what most of his contemporaries who have not been invited to share in some people's sudden spectacular enrichment might feel. What is most troubling, most touching, is that this China, neither shiny nor flashy, gives off a charm that is as indefinable as it is profound.
